Jacqueline (Jackie) Stewart

Jacqueline (Jackie) Stewart MBE DL served as teacher, Vice Principal and Principal in Downshire School over a 35- year career, where she also chaired the Carrickfergus Learning Community on several occasions and Carrick Connect for three years. In 2003 she was awarded N. Ireland Teacher of the Year in a Secondary School.

She was very proud to be awarded an MBE for Services to Education in 2019 and then to be appointed to the Antrim Lieutenancy in 2020 through which she enjoys engaging with local community groups and organisations.

Jackie is incoming President for the Rotary Club of Carrickfergus 2026-27 and is a member of Carrickfergus and District Historical Society.

Jackie is married and is a keen sportswoman. She also enjoys historical trips, holidays, socialising with family and friends and caring for dogs and wildlife.

Jackie is honoured to become a member of Kilcreggan Board of Directors and hopes to serve it to the best of her ability.
